How To Send Us Scans

iTero

Send Your Scan via Lab/Scanner Connection

This feature is only available for the iTero Comprehensive Orthodontic Subscription
(included in the first year after scanner purchase) and on the updated software version 5.2.
  1. First, connect our lab to your account.
    1. Call iTero Support (800) 577-8767 to make the request.
    2. Provide them with our name and phone # (800) 922-6365
  2. Select our lab every time you scan.
    1. On the Treatment Information screen, under Case Type, select iRecord.
    2. Under Ship To, select New England Orthodontic Lab.

  4. After scanning, complete your script on the RxWizard.
    1. Keep in mind, we don't look at scans until we receive the accompanying script through the RxWizard (let us know if you haven't been set up for an account yet!).
    2. Begin to create your script per usual, then under 'The Impression' section, select the option to tell us that you have sent us the scan via the MyAligntech portal.
    3. Continue your script to completion. When we've acknowledged your script (typically within 2 business hours), you will receive an email confirmation and a blue checkmark will appear in front of your script on your Script History page.

OR Export File and Upload to the RxWizard

Your scan files are always available for download in MyAligntech.
  1. Export .STL file(s):
    1. Login to your MyAligntech account at www.mycadent.com.
    2. Click Orders on the top-left, then select Orders List.
    3. Locate the correct order then click on the appropriate Order Code.
    4. Click on the Export link under Actions.
    5. From the CAD/CAM System dropdown, select Implants and Other Exports - Open Model
    6. For the Folder Name - We suggest changing this to the patient's last name, so you'll be able to easily identify the correct patient's file.
    7. Press Export to begin the STL export process.
    8. When the export is complete, a box should pop up telling you where the file downloaded. The default file path should be c:cadent/export/your folder name.
  2. Upload file(s) to the RxWizard:
    1. Begin to create your script per usual on our website in the RxWizard (let us know if you haven't been set up for an account yet!).
    2. Under the Impression section, choose the option to upload the files to script.
    3. Click the Choose File or Browse button and locate your patient's files to upload.
    4. Continue your script to completion. When we've acknowledged your script (typically within a couple business hours), you will receive an email notification and a blue checkmark will appear in front of your script on your Script History page.

Send Your Scan via Lab/Scanner Connection

  1. First, connect our lab to your account.
    1. Login to your 3Shape Communicate account at https://www.3shapecommunicate.com.
    2. Click on Connections in the top navigation, then Add Connection.
    3. Type our email address: digital@neolab.com > Find
    4. Under Results, select our name: New England Orthodontic Lab
    5. Click Connect.
    6. We will need to verify the connection on our end. We should attend to this fairly quickly, but feel free to give us a call to hasten the process (ask for Andy or Christian).
  2. Select our lab every time you scan.
    1. Once we verify the connection, 'New England Orthodontic Lab' will be available to select when setting up a new patient to scan.

  4. After scanning, complete your script on the RxWizard.
    1. Keep in mind, we don't look at scans until we receive the accompanying script through the RxWizard (let us know if you haven't been set up for an account yet!).
    2. Begin to create your script per usual, then under 'The Impression' section, select the option to tell us that you have sent us the scan via the 3Shape Communicate portal.
    3. Continue your script to completion. When we've acknowledged your script (typically within 2 business hours), you will receive an email confirmation and a blue checkmark will appear in front of your script on your Script History page.

OR Export File and Upload to the RxWizard

  1. Export .STL file(s):
    1. Open the file in Ortho Analyzer.
    2. Click the Export Model As icon.
    3. A popup window will appear - click Browse if you would like to choose a different file location. You can uncheck the upper or lower if you only want to export one arch.
    4. Click Save.
    5. We suggest you locate the file you just saved and rename the file to include the patient's name.

    1. Begin to create your script per usual on our website in the RxWizard (let us know if you haven't been set up for an account yet!).
    2. Under the Impression section, choose the option to upload the files to script.
    3. Click the Choose File or Browse button and locate your patient's files to upload.

Carestream CS3500

Send Your Scan via Lab/Scanner Connection

  1. First, connect our lab to your account.
    1. Login to your CS Connect account at http://csdentalconnect.com or by clicking the CS Connect button from your DIS software.
    2. Locate the Case Details of the case you'd like to send to us.
    3. Under Choose a Laboratory, in the Email field, type our email address: digital@neolab.com
    4. We will need to verify the connection on our end. We should attend to this fairly quickly, but feel free to give us a call to hasten the process (ask for Andy or Christian).
  2. Select our lab every time you scan.
    1. Once we verify the connection, 'New England Orthodontic Lab' will be available to select in the Laboratory field.

  3. Carestream CS3500

  4. After scanning, complete your script on the RxWizard.

OR Export File and Upload to the RxWizard

  1. Export .STL file(s):
    1. Locate the patient files in your Dental Imaging Software.
    2. Click the Send To button, which saves the files on your desktop.
  2. Upload file(s) to the RxWizard:
    1. Begin to create your script per usual on our website in the RxWizard (let us know if you haven't been set up for an account yet!).
    2. Under the Impression section, choose the option to upload the files to script.
    3. Click the Choose File or Browse button and locate your patient's files to upload.
    4. Continue your script to completion. When we've acknowledged your script (typically within a couple business hours), you will receive an email notification and a blue checkmark will appear in front of your script on your Script History page.

Lythos

The Lythos scanner currently does not have the ability to connect with a lab, but your scan files are always available for download in the Ormco Digital portal.

Export File and Upload to the RxWizard

  1. Export .STL file(s):
    1. Login to your OrmcoDigital account (http://www.ormcodigital.com).
    2. Click on the Lythos Scans tab.
    3. Find the correct case, then click the Download link.
    4. Click the Download button on the popup prompt.
    5. This will initiate the download of a zip file. You must extract the raw .stl files before uploading to the RxWizard: Right-click on the zip file folder, then select Extract All.
    6. We suggest you rename the file(s) to include the patient's name.
  2. Upload file(s) to the RxWizard:
    1. Begin to create your script per usual on our website in the RxWizard (let us know if you haven't been set up for an account yet!).
    2. Under the Impression section, choose the option to upload the files to script.
    3. Click the Choose File or Browse button and locate your patient's files to upload.
    4. Continue your script to completion. When we've acknowledged your script (typically within a couple business hours), you will receive an email notification and a blue checkmark will appear in front of your script on your Script History page.
